Overview
Agnes recalls family history, moving to Balclutha, education and employment there. She became a nurse working at Balclutha hospital where she met her husband who was a farmer. She gave up nursing to work on the farm and talks of their home, birth of their children, farm work, the children’s education and employment.

Judith looks at her early life through school and growing up at Mokotua where the family had a mixed farm of dairy and sheep on 200 acres. Judith was a day pupil at James Hargest High School before leaving school and working at H & J Smiths until her marriage to Murray.
